Recognizing geometric patterns and understanding their potential for creating structures is the inspiration for my work. Utilizing a wide variety of materials from bamboo to laser-cut steel I create geometric forms both functional and aesthetic.
A graduate of the School of Art and Design at Alfred University, Patrick Doyle has been focusing on the structural aspects of geometric patterns and creating sculptures in a wide variety of materials. One of his recent public institutions can be seen at Erie Harbor along the East bank of the Genesee River just south of downtown Rochester.
