Rochester Mini Maker Faire Map 2014

We hope to see you next week at the Rochester Mini Maker Faire!

We have a few minor changes in the Makers that will be attending.  A few have decided not to come, and we’ve added a few others.  We will be updating the lists as soon as we are able.  The current list is about 98% accurate with the changes.

In the meantime …

The Rochester Mini Maker Fair is just days away! And it looks like we can now give a more accurate picture about the number of booths and talks.

Provided we do not have any unexpected cancellations, we will have 93 maker booths and 6 maker talks/presentations.

Some of the booths are very large and will offer multiple exhibits and interactive activities. Especially booths such as RMSC, RIT, TakeItApart, Zest for Art, University of Rochester, Simplified Building, Connect a Million Minds from TWC, the Monroe County Library System, RARA, MCC, Hummingbird Makeshop, the Physics Bus . . and I could just keep going and going and going.

Get your tickets while they are cheap!! YES, you can buy them at the door, but why pay $12 for a ticket, when you can pay $7? Why pay $45 for a Family Pass when you can pay $30?

Today we are proud to announce our first 20 confirmed Makers.  We will be adding to this list as we are currently waiting on paperwork for 8 more accepted applications, and we are still waiting on YOUR submission to be at the Rochester Mini Maker Faire.

Please take a look at the current list located here: http://makerfairerochester.com/meet-the-makers/.  We hope that you see it offers a very divers set of Makers alread.  Why not add your voice to the mix and complete the Call for Makers application.  We would love to have you at the faire.  The application is open for Makers of all kinds, ages, and affiliations.

If you don’t think a booth would do you justice, then perhaps submit to give a 45 minute talk or presentation about what it is that you create?  We have lots of space left for those that would like to be part of this event.

We hope to see you there!

Calling all Makers for the Rochester Mini Maker Faire! What is a Maker you ask? Anyone who thinks, imagines, and creates. You are a Maker and it doesn’t matter if you create arts and crafts out of new and used materials, the latest in walking robots, or create music and dance arts. Share your Maker know-how and enthusiasm!  We’re especially interested in interactive and hands-on opportunities for attendees.

We have rooms for Maker talks, a stage for robotics demonstrations and artistic performances, and we have space for dozens and dozens of Maker booths. The Rochester Mini Maker Faire will be held on Saturday November 22nd, 2014 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. We want to showcase a diverse set of makers, presenters and performers including but not limited to:
