Marissa Haddock
Marissa is an engineer, crafter, and photographer. She enjoys making things, learning how to make things, and teaching people how to make things. She makes a wide variety of items, from hand-sewn dresses to advanced camera systems that fly on tiny planes. She has been machine knitting since 2010.

Joanna Thibault
Joanna is originally from Toronto Canada and has been in the fashion industry for most of her life. She graduated from the Academy of Design and Technology in the Fashion Design program and has worked for various fashion designers, several of which were knitwear designers. Knits and working with knitting machines have been a big part of her life. In Toronto, she created her own knitwear label and a sewn fashion label. After graduating, she was an instructor for the Academy in the Knitting Fiber Fabrication course and Fashion Illustration course. All of this has given her a lot of experience with the fashion industry and also great expertise in teaching machine knitting classes. Joanna has also been teaching Lindy Hop Swing classes since 2002, and owned dance schools and entertainment groups in Toronto. She is now a part of Groove Juice Swing in Rochester. The Knitting Studio is something truly unique to Rochester, and Joanna is ecstatic to share this with such a creative community!
