Laurel Nelson

Laurel Nelson co-founded Lagom Landing in 2012. She is educated as a Presbyterian minister, but has loved the opportunity to get her hands dirty making things and building community in rural Livingston County. Laurel grew up in CO and loves to hike, ski, bike, garden, and preserve the garden's bounty.

Rock Castor Maker Picture

Rock Castor

Rock Castor co-founded Lagom Landing in 2012. He has been building houses since being exposed to the trade during two years of learning and exploration in Papua New Guinea as an 18 year old. Rock is an outdoor enthusiast and loves fast downhill skiing, cycling, tennis, and spending time outdoors. He has three adult children who all enjoy making things.

Joshua Murphy

Joshua was a student of Lagom Landing’s our pilot year (2012-13). After his time at Lagom Landing, Joshua continued his learning through completing his BA in Psychology and Masters degree in Education. Joshua’s passion is creating unique educational opportunities for young people and he has had the pleasure of working with various organizations to this end.

Matt Simone

Matt Simone is from Nunda, NY and is a graduate of Houghton Academy. Upon graduation he spent a semester at MCC and worked full time before joining the Seventh Cohort of Lagom Landing students in September 2018. He loves music, conversation, hiking, and Arizona tea.

Abbey Nelson Maker Picture

Abbey Nelson

Abbey Nelson traveled to Lagom Landing in her Chevy truck from Kalispell, MT in September to be part of our Seventh Cohort of students. Abbey is very artistic, good with color, design, decorating, photography, and social media. She loves to travel and explore.
