Keith Handy

Keith has been composing, performing, recording, and producing original music since his childhood in the early 1980s. With a focus in progressive or “art” rock Keith has produced several concept albums and a rock opera. He studied music theory at SUNY Fredonia, as well as computer art and film making at University at Buffalo. In line with Keith’s passion for the continual study of the creative process in all forms, he has branched out into improv comedy, computer art in GIMP, programming in C++ for generative art and signal processing, puppetry and puppet making, and video editing. When not immersed in this complicated stuff, he is content to play a few old songs on an acoustic guitar.

What inspired you to make this project?
Spotted Rabbit Studio's mission is to promote art-making and community interaction for all abilities. Sharing our interest and skills fits right into this philosophy. Alcohol ink tiles have easily become one of the favorite art products we make in the apprenticeship program.

Keith Handy has been circuit bending since he was a kid and continues to re-purpose electronics and musical instruments for his own music making in addition to his creativity-focused and process-oriented classes.
