Nazareth College Makerspace

Sidney Pruitt

Sid Pruitt is in his third year running the Nazareth College Makerspace. Sid has always been a maker starting in his younger years tinkering with tinker toys. From there he progressed to digital electronics, sewing, carpentry and auto repair. He owes much of his knowledge and passion to his parents. They would encouraged him and more importantly include him in there activities, giving Sid a wide range of skills and depth of experience. Sid attended SUNY Oswego for Technology Education, just as his father had done 32 years earlier. Sid did not immediately enter the education field choosing to pursue other opportunities first. In 2019 he found his current career working at Nazareth College. Helping students, faculty and staff find new and exciting ways to foster and express there creativity.
